The CHA CHA was invented in Cuba by Enrique Jorrin and the first cha cha song "La Enganadora" was composed in early 1950s. This beautiful rhythmic dance is a big success in ballroom dancing competitions. Like the rest of these series the Cha Cha Limoges box was created by Christian Neacsu, beautifully hand painted on Limoges porcelain. Under the lid you have the wording Cha Cha and on the inside a pair of maracas accentuated by the word "caliente" meaning HOT! Size 2 /12" x 1 1/2"
